Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address provided by Google Analytics as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

5. Matomo Analytics

This website is using Matomo , a self-hosted Open Source software for collecting anonymous usage statistics for this website.

The data is used to analyse the behaviour of the website visitors to identify potential pitfalls like not found pages, search engine indexing issues and to find out which contents are the most appreciated. Once the data (number of visitors reaching a not found pages, viewing only one page…) is processed, Matomo is generating reports for website owners to take action, for example changing the layout of the pages, publishing some fresh content… etc.

Matomo is processing the following data:

  • Cookies
  • Anonymized IP-address by removing the last 2 bytes (so 198.51.0.0 instead of 198.51.100.54)
  • Pseudo-anonymized Location of the user (generated from the anonymized IP-address)
  • Date and time
  • Title of the page being viewed
  • URL of the page being viewed
  • URL of the page that was viewed prior to the current page (if the page allows it)
  • Screen resolution
  • Time in local timezone
  • Files that were clicked and downloaded
  • Link clicks to an outside domain
  • Pages generation time
  • Country, region, city (low resolution based on IP-address
  • Main Language of the browser
  • User Agent of the browser
  • Interactions with forms (but not the content)

6. Marketing Automation with Mautic

We use "Mautic" as an open source tool for marketing automation on this website. This is a tool for the timely output of tailor-made information based on the collection and analysis of usage data (including browser used, last page visited, length of stay).

Mautic is hosted by us on specially operated servers. A transfer of data to third parties does not take place. We collect and process data with Mautic only to the extent that it makes sense and is necessary to achieve the business goals.

Our Mautic usage can (but does not have to) include:

a) Tailor-made website content

Based on the above usage data, we try to assess your interests as best as possible and, on this basis, present you with the most relevant website content possible in TYPO3 ("targeting".)

b) Email Marketing and Campaigns

With so-called e-mail marketing, personalized e-mails are sent to you. These are based in part on the user behavior on our websites when reading our e-mails and interacting with the links contained therein. We also send emails as part of campaigns. Sending such e-mails is always based on a separate consent.

c) landing pages

Landing pages are special web pages that have been defined as the target of advertising campaigns. They usually contain interaction options, e.g. for downloading whitepapers or checklists and forms for collecting information about interested parties. The software uses various technical processes to assign the individual activities to anonymous profiles or - with prior consent - to the profiles of individual users:

c) tracking pixels

In order to recognize whether, for example, an e-mail has been opened, Mautic uses so-called tracking pixels. This loads a small graphic from the provider's server that was previously assigned to an individual user profile.

d) Personalized web links

In order to recognize whether, for example, a user calls up a link from an email, mautic adds a unique identifier to these links, which was previously assigned to an individual user profile.

The data collected are:

the activity on our website
Number of page views and length of stay of the website visitor
the click path of the respective visitor
Downloads of files provided via the website
Visits to landing pages
Opening of emails from newsletters and campaigns
The IP address currently used by website visitors is transmitted to us every time our website is accessed. Mautic only saves these anonymously.

Mautic can only be used in a personalized manner if you have given your explicit consent. You can revoke this consent at any time against the contact person mentioned above. In this case, all tracking data collected by mautic will be deleted immediately.

7. Newsletter

Newsletter data
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you, as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for the delivery of the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.
The processing of the data entered into the newsletter registration form takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. GDPR). The granted consent to the storage of the data, the email address and their use for sending the newsletter can be revoked at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the already completed data processing operations remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data deposited with us for the purpose of obtaining the newsletter will be stored by us until your cancellation of the newsletter and will be deleted after cancellation of the newsletter. Data that has been stored for other purposes (such as email addresses for the members area) remains unaffected.
